As the semester progresses, you will begin the transition to the Architecture advising team, with whom you will work throughout the next four years. Samantha Salden Teach, a Professor of the Practice and alumna of the Architecture program, serves as the Advising Dean for undergraduate Architecture students. She takes the lead on issues of student life, well-being, accommodations, and professional development. Caroline Maloney is the Academic Advising Director who works with each Architecture student individually on course selection and planning, minors and concentrations, and tracking graduation progress. There will be a group meeting with Dr. Lucero and the Architecture advising team at the Architecture Orientation Event (formerly known as PIN Night) on Tuesday, April 6 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. It will be a virtual meeting (Zoom), and attendance is mandatory for registration, so please add it to your calendar now. Topics of discussion will include Fall 2021 Architecture coursework and registration, concentrations and minors, how to prepare for your first design studio course, and how to make the most of your time in the School of Architecture. Students with individual follow-up questions may subsequently reach out to Dr. Lucero or either of the Architecture advising team members.
