This course is not currently available. Please visit the Courses section for current offerings.

Instructor: Ken Oakes

This course provides students with an introduction to the discipline of theology. Its goal is to cultivate theological habits of thought through literary, historical, and theological reflection upon the major events, themes, and questions of the Old Testament, New Testament, and early Christian tradition. Consideration is also given to how these events, themes, and questions might address or reframe perennial and contemporary questions concerning the identity of God and of humanity. As a University Seminar, the course is discussion oriented and pays particular attention to the crafts of writing, research, and critical thought.
