ARHI 13182-2: World Art at the Snite Museum

Fine Arts University Seminar

Students in this seminar will study and write about a wide range of works of art in Notre Dame's Snite Museum. Works to be studied include art objects from antiquity to the present made in the Americas, Africa, and Europe. Seminar meetings will consist of a consideration of focus objects and their historical contexts and discussion of reading and writing assignments. Writing assignments will include several short papers and a longer one to be submitted at the end of the semester.
