Language Exam Credit (SATII and AP)

This language exam credit information applies only to students entering the University in the Fall 2018 semester or later.

Students entering prior to Fall 2018 will find the applicable language exam credit information in the Bulletin of Information for the academic year they entered the University. These documents can be found at https://registrar.nd.edu/BOI/BOI.php.

Results of the AP and SAT II exams in French, German, Italian, and Spanish are used for course placement and credit in accordance with the Language Exam Credit table.

Incoming first-year students can verify that we have received their SAT II or AP language exam scores by accessing the “My Test Scores” app on Inside ND after July 5th. Any credit that has been granted for SAT II or AP language exams can be viewed on the “Grade History” app on Inside ND.

If we do not have your SAT II language exam score, log in to your account at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat-subject-tests/scores/getting-scores, download your score report as a PDF, and email it to your advisor as an attachment.

If we do not have your AP language exam score, log in to your account at https://apscore.collegeboard.org/scores/. Click “Download score report” in the upper right corner of the page. Save the score report as a PDF, and email it to your advisor as an attachment.

*If you have received credit for 10101 and you chose to take 10110 or 10115, the AP/SATII credit that you received for 10101 will still show on your transcript, but will no longer count in the total credits required to earn the degree. This is because the course content of 10110 and 10115 incorporates the content of 10101.
