IB HL Exam Credit
This page was last updated on May 16, 2019 and is subject to change.
This IB credit information applies only to students entering the University in the Fall 2018 semester or later.
Students entering prior to Fall 2018 will find the applicable IB credit information in the Bulletin of Information for the academic year they entered the University. These documents can be found at https://registrar.nd.edu/BOI/BOI.php.
An official Transcript of Examination Grades must be sent by the IB Office (New York, Geneva, or London) to the University. The University only awards credit for IB higher-level exams passed with scores of 6 or 7, depending on the exam. The University does not give credit for standard-level exams.
Incoming students can verify that they have been granted appropriate credit for IB exams by accessing the “Grade History” app on Inside ND after July 5th. If you have not been granted the IB credit that you have earned, contact your first-year advisor to see if we have received your scores. If we have not received your scores, follow the directions here (https://www.ibo.org/programmes/diploma-programme/assessment-and-exams/requesting-transcripts/) to have your score report sent to Notre Dame.
