Food Plan

Included at no extra charge in your Notre Dame Housing Fee is a choice between two meal plans — either the defaulted Gold Plan or the requested Blue Plan. You will receive a Meal Access Card during Orientation so that you can access the dining halls before your get your Student ID Card. You may ask Food Services questions about your meal plan during ID Card Production hosted by the Campus Card Office.

Food Services offers two meal plans:

The Gold Plan

This flexible plan (on which all students are placed at the beginning of each semester) provides both Flex Points ($400.00 placed on your ID card at the beginning of each semester) and a weekly allotment of up to 14 board meals in our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls (North or South). Flex Points are accepted in select on-campus retail food service establishments, excluding Legends and Sorin’s.

The Blue Plan

This plan offers you up to one meal per meal period in our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls (North or South) during each meal period when these locations are open. The Blue Plan offers the budget-conscious student an exceptional value.

If you have special dietary concerns or special dietary needs that stem from food allergies or intolerances, please contact the nutritionist at ndfood@nd.edu or (574) 631-7254. Food safety services include providing a list of recipe ingredients to individualized meal preparation and specialty shopping.
