Campus Ministry

Rooted in the Catholic tradition and inspired by the charism and spirituality of the Congregation of Holy Cross, the Office of Campus Ministry is committed to cultivating the faith of students and all members of the Notre Dame family. Whether you’re interested in a specific program or event or you’d just like to talk to someone, we are always here for you. Regardless of your faith background, Campus Ministry seeks to meet you where you are and to assist you as you grow at Notre Dame into the person God created you to be.

Programs designed for first-year students include:

- FIDES (faith in Latin), or Freshmen In Discipleship, Evangelization & Service, is a program of faith immersion aimed at deepening students’ faith in their first year and familiarizing them with what it means to be a Catholic young adult at Notre Dame.

- The Freshman Retreat is a 24-hour retreat designed for all students, Catholic and non-Catholic, to share in the journey of faith with their peers and benefit from the experience and wisdom of upperclassmen who have successfully become a part of the Notre Dame family.

- Four: 7 Catholic Fellowship is a student-led Catholic community that meets once a week to worship through song, listen to guest speakers and reflect during small group discussion. Students are invited to come once or come weekly.

- Iron Sharpens Iron is a community of Christians from all denominations who seek to grow deeper and stronger in their relationships with each other and with God through student-led worship, accountability and fellowship.
