PHIL 13185: Philosophy University Seminar: Philosophy and Science

“This course will be an introduction to philosophy with a special focus on issues at the intersection of philosophy and science and in the philosophy of science. Topics to be discussed may include: the nature and limits of scientific knowledge; metaphysical foundations of science; science and values. The course readings will be drawn from original sources, starting with the ancient Greek philosophers and continuing into the twentieth century.
As with all University Seminars, this will be a writing intensive course."
