MUS 20001: Theory I
A two-semester sequence required of all students intending to major in music. These classes present a systematic approach to the understanding and practices of the basic fundamentals of music, with emphasis on harmonization and voice leading in the style of tonal Western art music.
MUS 20011 is the co-requisite for MUS 20001: Exercise and mastery of basic skills in music: melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and keyboard. To be taken along with Theory I and II. Required of all students intending to major in music.
