If you have no idea which discipline is for you, try to narrow your choice to one of two areas:
- Arts and Letters, Architecture, or Business
- Laboratory-based disciplines in Science or Engineering
These two tracks differ significantly in mathematics and science requirements. It is easier to move from the laboratory-based disciplines to arts and letters, architecture, or business than vice versa because the courses required for science and engineering are acceptable in arts and letters, architecture, and business. While it is possible to start in arts and letters, architecture, or business and move to science or engineering, you still would need to take the mathematics and science required by the science or engineering colleges.
